I REGRET TO INFORM YOU THAT I RECIEVED A CALL FROM THE REGISTRAR THAT WE HAD ONLY 15 PILGRIMS REGISTERED BY THE END OF BUSINESS TODAY, AND THE WALK WAS CANCELLED.
TODAY WAS THE DEADLINE FOR US TO GET THE 20 REQUIRED PILGRIMS. HE INFORMED ME THAT WE COULD LEAVE THE REGISTERED PILGRIMS IN PLACE FOR NEXT YEAR OR THEY WOULD REFUND THE MONEY TO THE ONES WANTING REFUNDS.
I WILL CONTACT THE SPONSORS AND PILGRIMS THIS WEEK END AND INFORM THEM OF THIS DEVELOPMENT.

As many of you are aware, a walk must have 20 registered pilgrims 2 weeks prior to the start date. After a brief extension of time, we only managed to register 14 pilgrims for this event. On February 25th, Walk 1426 (originally scheduled for 3/6/2008) was canceled.
